I am a PhD Neuroscientist with expertise in the human olfactory system, breathing, emotional processing, and neurodegenerative disease.
I currently work as a Sensory Scientist at Osmo, where I design and run sensory experiments to give computers a sense of smell.
I did my PhD and Postdoc at Northwestern University in Dr. Christina Zelano's lab. I was a lab manager in Dr. Bradley Voytek's lab at UC San Diego for 2 years. I went to Bates College where I majored in Neuroscience and Dr. Jason Castro was my thesis advisor. I also minored in philosophy of mind and played varisty lacrosse.
I enjoy solving hard problems by making sense of data using data science, digital signal processing, machine learning, and my understanding of the brain.
Here are some fun projects that I did:
In my free time outdoors, I love hiking, snowboarding, soccer, and lacrosse.
Indoors, I enjoy playing DnD (actually pathfinder), making music (drums, ukulele, producing, DJing [for <10 people]) and art.
My favorite thing to do is hang out with my girlfriend Megan and our cat Clementine.
